Municipal History Museum, Valencia

Besides the beautiful interior of  the stunning building of the town hall, there are many important documents. For example, the Codex dels Furs and the Llibre del Consolat del Mar, the Real Senyera and the Penó de la Conquesta. 

In addition, guilded flags, a fragment of the coffered ceiling of the old Casa de la Ciudad and various pieces of gold work are on show.

The first room shows five plans that reflect the evolution of the city. The most famous of them is the one made by Father Tosca in 1704. In the second of the rooms a total of 46 engravings from the municipal collection are on show. La Sala dels Furs, contains mural paintings by Ramón Stolz. Finally, the Sala Foral, in the Church of Santa Rosa is  decorated with paintings by José Vergara.
