The restored Castello di Montalto Dora gives you a glimpse of how dukes and duchesses lived in late-medieval times. The castle was rebuilt in the 18th-20th century on the site of a 12th-century fortress. Its enormous tower is built in a Gothic style, and the walls of its chapel are covered in colourful 15th-century fresco paintings. Explore the nearby park - home to various species of Piedmont trees and plants.
